What are graphic organizers?
Graphic organizers are visual representations of knowledge, concepts or ideas. They are known to help and enhance the learning of our students.
Students can use these learning tools to see how ideas fit together,
As a teacher graphic organizers helps me identify the strengths and weaknesses of all my students' thought process.

Assignment:
How to create a graphic organizer?
  • Download Kidspiration/Inspiration 30 day trial onto your desktop.
  • This activity will allow you to represent Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences as a graphic organizer.
  • Use pictures to represent different intelligences, as well as shapes and designs.
  • Each intelligence will be labeled and described in a few words (first level).
  • In the Second level add (at least 2) activities within a note that will promote the intelligence in the classroom.
  • Also include hyperlinks used in the graphic organizer and footers onto your graphic organizer page
  • Make sure that your concept map is organized and easy to read.

What is Multiple Intelligences?
Dr. Howard Gardner, a psychologist and professor of neuroscience from Harvard University, developed the theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) in 1983. The theory challenged traditional beliefs in the fields of education and cognitive science. Unlike the established understanding of intelligence -- people are born with a uniform cognitive capacity that can be easily measured by short-answer tests
